I support the Ferguson decision. Why? Because, on an earthly level, that is how the justice system works. I wasn’t there and the jury heard evidence that I didn’t, which apparently included witnesses (of both races) coming forward to support the officer.
On a universal level, I support the decision because God is the only true jury and judge and he will ensure that all involved receive the perfect results for their actions.
BUT, I have to say something about the protests. They baffle me! “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” is a protest in support of the officer, right? Wrong! So many people think they are supporting Michael Brown and his family. However, “hands up! don’t shoot!” should be a reminder to all to RESPECT the authority of police officers.
Do NOT try to take the law into your own hands. If, God forbid, you find yourself in a situation where a cop is wielding his weapon for any reason whatsoever, put YOUR HANDS UP! and say “don’t shoot!”
I’m not saying cops are infallible. You are totally welcome to SUE the bajeezuz out of them after the fact if they were acting inappropriately but, when they are carrying out their law enforcement duty especially in an intense situation, THEY are in charge. They are keeping the peace FOR YOU.
So, put your hands up! They won’t shoot.
