When God Whispers

I lost power tonight. As I was thrust into inky darkness, the lady upstairs yelled, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” I was tempted to mirror her indignance (new word?)

I recognized the opportunity for a quiet bible study by candlelight. It was a wonderful experience. I recommend it!

I decided on reading Micah out loud from a version of the Bible that I got way back in the day at Catholic school. My Bible was in the car and it was just too cold to run out.

Micah is seven chapters long and it’s language is confusing but, when read out loud, the words could easily be worship unto themselves. So that is what I did.

At the exact moment I said the last word of the last chapter of the book, my power sprang back into action (for a whole 10 seconds before extinguishing again).

I am not suggesting God was trying to communicate to me. I’m just happy that my faith is strong enough that I can entertain the notion that He might just try.
